The Challenge
We are taking on a tough one- day urban challenge through the heart of London. With a challenging distance of 30km to cover, this challenge will be a fantastic test of stamina.
The starting point will be hosted by Quadrant at their Osmo scheme in Battersea. The trek will take us along the Thames footpath, past Battersea Power station and Battersea Park, before crossing to the north of the river After walking through our first Royal Park – Brompton Cemetery - we will visit Grosvenor’s the Pantechnicon before stopping briefly for some much-needed refreshments in Belgrave Gardens. After passing through another four Royal Parks it will be time for lunch by Marble Arch, kindly hosted by The Portman Estate and X+Why, where we will be joined by those participating in the afternoon portion of the trek. The afternoon will take us past canals, more parks and landmarks, with stops at the NLA’s London Centre and Derwent London’s White Chapel Building, before reaching the sight of Canary Wharf and our finish point.
Why we’re walking
We’re walking to build a safer future for children, one step at a time.
The NSPCC is collaborating with the property industry to build safer communities for children. Through forging strategic partnerships and organising original fundraising events, we support the NSPCC in their vital work to protect all children and young people.
